Living the crazy trivia at World of Beer - Ft. Worth every week with PubGuys Trivia! This week was no different, with over 30 players and 9 teams! How does it happen? All you have to do is show up between 7 and 9 PM, preferably with smart friends, and grab the scoring sheets. Depending on if you made it to Game 1 or Game 2, you'd also pick up a Visual Round. And that's it! I take care of the rest, and you get two chances to win a $25 or $10 gift certificate to World of Beer - Ft. Worth to bring back and enjoy with your friends. The hardest part is bringing your BIG BRAIN, because these questions aren't easy!

Game 1

During Game 1 we saw the return of a regular team that hasn't been back in several months, Shit Show! They were joined by Hoes For Sho, Got Here Late, Dirty Mike and the Boys, and We Came From Behind, to name a few. There are always three rounds per game, and for Round 2 each game there is a common theme between the questions and answers. This game's theme was: Brought to you by the letter H, so the questions and answers all involved that letter. In addition to the Themed Round, we also had the Visual Round that was due at the end of Game 1. That round is worth 10 points, and this week the Visual Round theme was: 90s Singers. 

At the end of Game 1 we ended up having a tie between Got Here Late and Bruce Willis Baby. After a tiebreaker question between the two teams, Got Here Late ended up beating out Bruce Willis Baby, so they each took their respective 1st and 2nd place gift certificates. Here's a question that stumped everyone during Game 1:

• Which planet in our solar system takes around 165 Earth years to orbit the Sun?

1. MANY. URANUS. JOKES. It was NOT Uranus! It also wasn't Mercury, Pluto, or Saturn. Only one team got it right:

• Neptune

Game 2

Game 2 was much of the same from Game 1, except we lost one team of two people unfortunately. We were still going strong, though, and ultimately ended the game with ANOTHER tie! This game's Themed Round had the theme: Nothing but Skin and Bones, so just like Game 1 all the questions and answers referenced skin and bones. Instead of The Visual Round for Game 2, we had a Kitchen Timer Bonus Round. Each team faces a time limit for a chance to win between 8-10 points at the end of the game. The question everyone answered for that round was: 

• What are the eight US states that border a Great Lake?

Almost every team got all eight states down correctly, so it was barely an inconvenience. Surprisingly, we also had several questions during Game 2 that nobody guessed correctly. For example:

• What word comes to us from the Greek for "thick-skinned"?

It was not cartilage, callous, or hearty. It's a term that I've never heard used in a sentence before:

• Pachyderm

At the end of the game Fish Tots took 1st place, with Got Here Late and OurAnus tying for 2nd place. We went through another grueling tiebreaker round, and Got Here Late left with 2nd place for this game.
