Perhaps it was the cold weather, or because the Dallas Cowboys lost, but this week at World of Beer - Ft. Worth with PubGuys Trivia we had 3 teams out, trying to win a $25 or $10 gift certificate. Even though there were a limited number of teams we still had a blast with World of Beer's plethora of beer options, and fantastic food. Since it was a small game this week, let's get right into it!
Game 1
Making it out this week we had all our regular teams here like Got Here Late and Flaming Yawn (going as "We Skipped Kesha for this"), as well as Pacific Rim Job, who change their team name every week. The Themed Round for this game had the theme Little Monsters, so all the questions and answers that round mentioned monsters, or even monster-based media. The Visual Round for this game was Name The Movie From Its Mythical Beast, so each team was provided with a visual guide that had creatures from various movies, and they had until the end of Round 3 to turn it in for 10 bonus points. For Game 1 Got Here Late won the game, with the remaining teams tying for 2nd. After a brief tiebreaker We Skipped Kesha ended up taking 2nd place. Here's a question that stumped everyone:
Which character on AMC's The Walking Dead owned a Winnebago RV that was ultimately abandoned at the Greene farm?
One team got very close with a guess of "Darryl", but they were incorrect. As mentioned, nobody got it right. The correct answer was:
Dale Horvath
Game 2
We still had the same teams for Game 2, but this time we had a Kitchen Timer Bonus Round instead of a Visual Round. The theme for Round 2 this time was: Head East, so all the questions and answers had something to do with the cardinal direction East. The Kitchen Timer Bonus Round question this week was:
According to Retail Me Not, what are the top 8 most popular Halloween candies for 2021?
Out of the three teams the most anyone got correct for that question was four answers right. At the end of the game we had a repeat of the winners from Game 1, wtih Got Here Late in 1st, and We Skipped Kesha for This in 2nd. Here's another one that stumped everyone:
What former president's ad campaign featured the infamous furloughed criminal Willie Horton?
We had Hoover as a guess by several teams, but they were wrong. The correct answer is:
George H. W. Bush
And with all of that we end another week of fun, FREE, trivia at World of Beer - Ft. Worth with PubGuys Trivia! Hopefully this week the Cowboys can win a game and everyone will come out next Tuesday to celebrate with us! We're here very week from 7 to 9 PM, and there's always two games and two chances to win. Join us next week, I'll be there! Until next time!
