What a Tuesday night at Cowtown Brewing Company! The house was packed, the cold beer was flowing, and the smells coming from Big Pappas Food Truck had everyone ready for another wild night of PubGuys Trivia. The crowd was incredible, the competition was fierce, and as always, there was plenty of fun, laughter, and a little bit of shenanigans mixed in all night long.

After the first two rounds, it was already shaping up to be a battle. Jerk Store jumped out early with 6 points in Round 1 and followed it up with another 6 in Round 2 to take the lead at 12 points. Hot Tequila stayed right on their heels with a strong 10 points after two rounds, while The Great Odini was close behind with 9. We thought this was bingo sat in fourth with 8, followed by The Brainy Bunch and Boz with 6 each. Carrie had 5, and Go Stars was still hanging around with 5 as well. Nobody was out of it yet, and everyone knew the middle rounds would change everything.

Rounds 3 and 4 tightened the race even more. Jerk Store cooled off a bit in Round 3, only adding 3 points, and suddenly Hot Tequila made their move. A huge 7-point Round 4 from Hot Tequila briefly put them within striking distance of first place, sitting at 22 points after four rounds, only one behind Jerk Store at 20. The Great Odini kept quietly piling up points and remained right in the hunt with 17. We thought this was bingo stayed competitive at 15, while The Brainy Bunch, Go Stars, Carrie, and Boz all continued trading points and trying to claw their way up the standings.

Heading into the final two rounds, the entire brewery could feel the tension building. Jerk Store entered Round 5 with a narrow one-point lead, but Hot Tequila refused to go away. Both teams answered well in Round 5, keeping the margin razor thin. Then came the final round, and it was absolute chaos.

Jerk Store saved their best for last, throwing down an incredible 8-point Round 6. Hot Tequila also had a strong finish with 5 points, but it was not enough to catch them. The bonus questions ended up making a huge difference as well, with Jerk Store earning 3 bonus points to seal the win. The Great Odini finished strong with a solid final round and bonus points to lock down third place.

When the dust settled, Jerk Store stood tall with 35 points, narrowly edging Hot Tequila by a single point. Thankfully, no tie breaker was needed this week, but everyone in the room knew that if those top teams had ended tied, one player from each team would have been at my table with only 10 seconds to answer a tie breaker question for the championship.
