Game 1:
Mother nature is a fickle woman, but the storms did not scare the PubGuys trivia teams at Cowtown Brewing Co.!
No Folk and Chance was in the house tonight to show their prowess. However, they would have to test their wits against Darryl sucks, Jersey, and A drinking team with a trivia problem. With 13 points in 2 rounds, No Folk and Chance seemed to be in charge as they had the lead over Jersey and Darryl Sucks. But as we all know, it is not how you start the game but how you finish it. Just look at the Texas Rangers!
As No Folk and chance were prematurely resting on their laurels, Darrly Sucks took 8 points in round 3 and with their 9 bonus points, they smiled and waved as they passed No Folk and Chance to take 1st place. Jersey also took advantage and with 8 points in round 3, they were suddenly tied with No Folk and Chance and we would have a tie breaker for 2nd place! The teams sent up their sacrificial lamb to answer the tie-breaker question and they had 10s to provide me an answer. As I reviewed their answers and did some quick math, we had our 2nd place team – No Folk and Chance. However, I think they learned to not rest on their laurels because anything can happen in round 3!

Game 2:
And away we went for game 2 as the teams were refreshed and chomping at the bits to take the W! Again, No Folk and Chance did their best Paul Walker impersonation and came out fast and furious. But would they keep on the gas or would they stall in round 3? A drinking team with a trivia problem wanted to make up for falling short in game 1 and they did not lose faith after a tough round 1 and 2. They were rocking the bonus questions getting 8 points to No Folk and Chances 5. Would you like fries with that, here for the beer and Jersey were finding their second wind, fighting to get back into the mix for 1st and 2nd place, but they fell short as they rounded out the top 5 teams. Even with their 8 bonus points, A drinking team with a trivia problem fell 1 point short of taking the win. No Folk and Chance almost saw their victory slip out of their hands again, but with a little luck, they fought off their competitors and took the W by a single point!

A huge shout out to Christiana, Hannah, CJ, Darryl, and Samir for taking care of the Teams tonight. You all keep the beers full; the food is delivered hot, and you make my life easier as I host Trivia.
