...yes, this night had it all.  First, we were happy to have a group of Marines and Airmen visiting tonight and they joined in on the fun!  Thank you all!

We welcomed in several new teams this week.  Hot ass beat clap, Sweetness, Crafty Pitches, Degenerates and Air Force all joined in on the fun.  They were competing against our regulars, Duh, Mouseaholics, Dimestore Drinkers and Hot Tequila.  This would be a night to remember.

Game 1:

This game started with a bang, with 4 teams starting out with a strong 6 points.  Could the momentum be maintained?  For some teams, yes but others started to drop in round 2.  Mouseaholics, Air Force and Dimestore Drinkers maintained their lead with a strong 7 points in round 2.  Duh and Crafty Pitches were right behind them though.  Hot Tequila had a good round 2 and started to make their way back into the game while Hot Ass beat clap cooled off with only 4 total points between rounds 2 and 3.  Round 3 was the decision maker in game 1.   With only 6 points in round 3, the Mouseaholics stumbled but did not fall as they took first place by 1 point.  Crafty Pitches and Air Force had a great round 3, both getting 8 points.  The sudden swing left them TIED for second, only 1 point behind the winners and 1 point ahead of Dimestore Drinkers, who fell to 4^th with only 4 points in round 3.  In true Cowtown fashion, we had to pull out a tiebreaker question for 2^nd place.  With a guess of 42 (Crafty Pitches) and a guess of 64 (Air Force) we wanted to know who was closest to the number of Sunflowers in the Van Gogh painting.  Congrats to Crafty Pitches on being the closest to 15 and taking 2^nd place!

Game 2:

BAZINGA!  Why is that word important?  Let’s find out…

Game 2 was another stellar game and we had 5 teams rock round 1 with 5 points each.  The momentum did not change during round 2 as Hot Tequila, Dimestore Drinkers, Mouseaholics, Air Force and Hot ass beat clap all got 6 points in this round.  Bonus points also played a critical role in this game and all, but 2 teams received 7 or 8 bonus points this game.  Apparently, I need to come up with more difficult bonus questions.  With only 4 Bonus points, we saw the Mouseaholics drop down from 1^st to 3^rd, tying the Air Force at 23 points.  Not only did we have a tie for 3^rd, but we also had a tie for 1^st!  Come on guys, really!  Yet again, I love this trivia crowd for all the close games we have every week.

So, who would take 1^st?  Would it be Hot Tequila, or would it be Dimestore Drinkers?  Well, let’s ask Sheldon Cooper.  BAZINGA!  “In how many episodes does Sheldon utter the word Bazinga”?  That was our bonus question.  Surprisingly it is used in only 14 episodes.  With a guess of 236 vs a guess of 37 we had our winners!  Congrats to Hot Tequila on taking first and Dimestore Drinkers on their second-place finish!  What an amazing game and night.

A huge shoutout to the Cowtown Brewing Co. Staff for taking care of all the trivia heads.  Thanks to Gavin, Heather, Samir, Patrick, and Christiana!  You make my job a lot easier!
