…we celebrated our love of PubGuys Trivia tonight! A huge thank you to my wonderful teams that came out to enjoy their love of Trivia! We had 11 amazing teams come out to enjoy some amazing food, cold beer, and our love of Trivia. As you can guess, all our bonus questions were based on Valentine’s Day tonight!

Game 1:
We had a few new teams tonight: Damn Yankees, Salty Dogs, Lawg Rhyders, that’s what she said and The Ramons. However, they were up against some heavy weights such as No Folk and Chance, Mouseaholics, Hot Tequila, and The Yanks and the redcoats.
Going into our final round of the night, we had 2 teams tied at 11 points: Mouseaholics and No Folk and Chance. Dimestore Drinkers and That’s what she said were sitting in 2nd place at 10 points and Hot Tequila and Lawg Rhyders were sitting in 3rd at 9 points. Who would get some love in round 3? Who would get hit by Cupid’s arrow and score some bonus points to take them over the top and take the W?
The Simplitons, Mouseaholics and The Yanks and the Redcoats all had an amazing 8 points in round 3. For the most part the teams felt the love and averaged 3 points for the game. However, our top teams all nailed 4 to 5 points which would make a difference in their scores. With 5 bonus points, Hot Tequila was able to take a 1-point lead over Dimestore Drinkers and take 2nd place. Simplitons, No Folk and Chance, and The Yanks and the Redcoats did well on the bonus questions but fell short, landing in 4th and 5th places.

Game 2:
Sometimes when you just miss out on the W in game 1, you come out on fire in game 2. No, that was not Hot Tequila. Dimestore Drinkers came out hot in rounds 1 and 2 with an amazing 17 points! Wow, they were nearly perfect so far in the game. Hot Tequila and That’s what she said were close, just 5 points down at 12 points. However, this game was already in the bag for Dimestore Drinkers. This was now a fight for 2nd place.
Luckily, for 1 team, 2 teams in front of them fell down a rabbit hole in round 3 and only received 1 point. With 4 points in round 3, No Folk and Chance made a move and get into the top 2 with Hot Tequila and That’s what she said. Yes, we had another night with a tie. Mouseaholics were just 1-point shy of getting into the tie, ending the game at 16 points.
1 question, 1 answer, 1 teammate to decide which of the 3 teams would take 2nd place! I wanted to know how many strides Usain Bolt took to win the 100 meters final at the 2012 Olympics. We had a guess of 27, 31 and 39. Congrats to No Folk and Chance on taking 2nd place!
