Tuesday night at Cowtown Brewing Company delivered everything Trivia Tuesday promises: cold beer flowing, the smoky magic of Outpost 36 BBQ keeping bellies happy, and a packed house ready to battle it out in one wild game of PubGuys Trivia. The brewery was buzzing from the jump, the crowd was locked in, and the competition—unsurprisingly—was tough as nails.
Rounds 1 & 2:
The opening whistle set the tone immediately. Schrodinger’s Cats came out hot in Round 1, pouncing early to grab the first lead. The Waterboys, No Folk And Chance, Hot Tequila, Jerk Store, Dangit Booby, 21-27 Indiana, Brookshire, and Brew Crew weren’t far behind, all feeling out the board and settling into rhythm. By the end of Round 2, Schrodinger’s Cats still had their paws on first place, but The Waterboys surged hard, closing the gap and signaling that the night was far from settled.
Rounds 3 & 4:
Round 3 flipped the script. The Waterboys delivered a massive round and officially stole the lead, sending a ripple through the room. No Folk And Chance stayed steady, while Jerk Store and Dangit Booby quietly climbed the standings with consistent answers. In Round 4, Hot Tequila caught fire, posting one of the strongest rounds of the night and jumping back into contention. Meanwhile, 21-27 Indiana, Brookshire, and Brew Crew kept grinding, fighting for every point as the middle of the leaderboard tightened up.
Rounds 5 & 6 (The Final Push):
With Round 5, the tension was thick. Schrodinger’s Cats made another push, The Waterboys answered right back, and No Folk And Chance stayed within striking distance. Heading into the final round, it was still anyone’s game. Round 6 sealed the deal—No Folk And Chance dropped a huge final-round score, but The Waterboys stayed calm, cool, and calculated, doing just enough to protect their lead and lock in the win. No tie-breaker was needed this week, but everyone was ready if it came down to a 10-second showdown at the host’s table.
From start to finish, the room was electric. Laughter, groans, high-fives, and triumphant cheers echoed through the brewery as teams battled through six rounds and bonus questions. The competition was fierce, the fun was nonstop, and Cowtown once again proved why Trivia Tuesday is a can’t-miss event.
