It does not take Marilyn Monroe for some to like it hot. That is what we found out in an amazing first game of PubGuys Trivia at Cowtown Brewing Co. last night. With an amazing array of teams and scores, it was not a give me. Spooning Leads to Forking, Jersey! and Fort Girth all fought hard but fell just short of 1st place. With only 1 point separating 4th from 3rd and 3rd from 2nd, it was up for grabs. Congrats to Hot Tequila for pulling away in the last 2 rounds to seal the victory. But would it be as hot in game 2?
Who does not like a little magic show? Like the awesome Steve Miller Band song, Abracadabra, I heat up, I can’t cool down. However, that did not prove true for the winners of game 1, Hot Tequila. WE had another amazing game of PubGuys trivia that had Spooning Leads to Forking and Fort Girth tie for 3rd. We also saw a little magic in the final round where Hot Tequila and you guessed it Abra Cadabra tied for 1st! It all came down to the tie breaker question of: How many windows does the Empire State building have. The team with the closest guess would win and they had 30 seconds to deliver. With a slight of hand trick, Abra Cadabra took the game and left Hot Tequila in an ice tub to cool down.
It was an amazing night of PubGuys Trivia and I appreciate everyone’s patience with the new host as I get my timing down on the fun, extra bonus questions. Thanks to the amazing staff at Cowtown Brewing Co. for taking care of all the patrons. I have to say, what amazing beer and amazing food. As an FYI, if you did not know, they just tapped 4 amazing barrel aged beers. They are awesome! I look forward to seeing you all next week!
