Tuesday night at Cowtown Brewing Co. was a full-on Halloween bash of trivia, costumes, cold beer, and mouth-watering BBQ from Outpost 36. The taproom was buzzing well before game time, with teams grabbing plates stacked high with brisket, ribs, and sausage, and pitchers of Cowtown’s finest pours making their rounds. Costumes ranged from spooky to silly, and the energy was high—exactly the kind of night The Angry Irishman lives for.

We played one game of PubGuys Trivia—6 rounds plus bonus questions, and every point mattered. Let’s break it down.

Rounds 1 & 2 – Establishing the Ground Game

The opening rounds saw Pineapple, The Great Odini, All Work No Pay, and Hallowwinners all stepping out strong with crisp confidence. Pineapple opened with a 5, showing they came to compete, while The Great Odini and several others posted 4s across the board. Meanwhile, No Running and Spooning Leads to Forking worked to find traction, still settling into the groove.
By the end of Round 2, Pineapple, The Great Odini, Hallowwinners, and All Work No Pay were neck and neck—no clear runaway leader yet, but the tension was brewing like a fresh batch behind the bar.

Rounds 3 & 4 – Momentum Shifts & Rising Chaos

Round 3 was the first big shakeup. Pineapple exploded with a massive 8-point round, claiming command and putting pressure on the field. The Great Odini stayed close with a 7, while No Running and The Mc-Bees kept themselves within striking distance.

Then came Round 4—always a round where the competition tightens. Pineapple continued to hold strong with a 9, while The Great Odini slipped slightly to a 6, giving Pineapple a noticeable cushion. Meanwhile, All Work No Pay and The Mc-Bees surged back with solid 6 and 5-point rounds, keeping the battle for second and third wide open. At this point, it was clear Pineapple was playing chess while the rest of the room was still opening the board.

Rounds 5 & 6 – Final Push & No Room for Fear

Round 5 sealed the story. Pineapple struck another 9, creating a nearly unbreakable lead. The Great Odini, perhaps feeling the pressure, struggled with a 3, and the pack began to compress behind them.

Round 6 saw one last push—Pineapple held steady with 7, while No Running closed strong with a 6-point swing, and The Mc-Bees and All Work No Pay fought tooth-and-nail to stay relevant. Meanwhile, the Hallowwinners, Sumo squads, and Spooning Leads to Forking fought for positioning and bragging rights—and delivered Halloween spirit in full.

No ties tonight—just a clear, commanding finish.

Final Standings:
1st     Pineapple    43
2nd   The Great Odini    30
3rd    No Running    27

Costumes were epic. The crowd was loud. The beer was cold. The BBQ slapped. And as always—the competition was fierce but the fun was even better.

See you next Tuesday, Cowtown.
The Angry Irishman will be waiting. 🎃🍺
