Game 1:
A fun night of Trivia at Cowtown Brewery in Fort Worth. We had our heavy weight teams in before the Holidays to try their hand at PubGuys Holiday trivia.
We had the Mouseaholics vs Dimestore Drinkers vs Hot Tequila vs Simpletons. We also had newcomers Think 182 and Cowgirls.
After 2 rounds we had a good match on our hands. Simpletons were sitting pretty at 15 points followed closely by Mouseaholics and Hot Dimestore Drinkersb at 13. Hot Tequila was still in the mix with 10 points but needed a great round 3 to catch up.
If you have read these notes before, you know Hot Tequila can get hot at anytime and they did so with the Bonus questions. They received an amazing 12 bonus points for the game but their round 3 score kept them just short of a tie for first. Cowgirls and Think-182 had a good game but could not climb out of the cellar. Dimestore Drinkers played well but just missed out of placing as well, ending with 25 points.
It would not be normal if the game did not end in a tie as Mouseaholics made a comeback and tied for 1st with Simpletons. One question to find out our winner and we had a guess of 10 and a guess of 42 (the Mouseaholics favorite number). With the answer of 18, we had our winners – CONGRATS Simpletons!

Game 2:
With a stunning round 1, we had Cowgirls out in front with a 4-point lead over newcomers HHH. Dimestore Drinkers and Hot Tequila had a rough round 1 with only 2 points. However, they would make a move in round 2 as they both made up for a slow round 1 and took 5 points each in round 2. Mouseaholics and Simpletons had a tough start as they only netted a total of 6 points after 2 rounds. With 5 points, the Cowgirls continued their dominant game and had a comfortable 6-point lead over 2nd place.
Our bonus questions would come into play again this game and they were based on the top 10 best selling Christmas singles of all time! With round 3 to go, plus up to 10 bonus points, the Simpeltons showed why they are winners. While only getting 4 points in round 3, their amazing 8 bonus points lead them into 2nd place. While the Cowgirls only received 1 bonus point, their lead was enough that they could not be overtaken, and they took first…or did they? Technically yes, but as employees they could not win so it defaulted to our 2nd place team.
Hot Tequila and Dimestore Drinkers were neck and neck, but it came down to knowing 1 more song and Dimestore Drinkers edged out Hot Tequila to take 2nd place with 16 points. It was a close game again and all the teams fought hard, but alas we only had room for 2 winners tonight!
