What a great night for Trivia. Shrove Tuesday! Fat Tuesday! Whatever you wish to call it, we had an amazing night at Cowtown Brewing Co. What else do you need besides Beads, Beer, BBQ and King Cake?

Game 1:
Same team, different name as Tequila is better cold rebranded themselves as The Usual Suspects! It was great to see them tonight. Pocket, Mouseaholics and Pineapple were in the house too along with Budgie Butt Stuff. We had some newcomers as well and it was going to be a great night!
2 rounds in and we had Mouseaholics and Missouri love company in the lead at 11 points. The Usual Suspects and Budgie Butt Stuff were in the mix at 9. Pineapple got off to a slow start with just 6 points after 2 rounds.
As usual we would go into the final round with every point counting. As it was Fat Tuesday, all of our bonus questions, for the entire game, were all about Fat Tuesday, Mardi Gras and Carnivals! Who could channel their inner Mardi Gras the best?
With and amazing 8 points in round 3, we had Missouri loves company trying to fight off Budgie Butt Stuff, Pocket and Mouseaholics. However, their 1 bonus point would come into play. With 6 points and 7 bonus points, Pocket fought to the end but fell 1 point shy of tying for 2nd place. The Usual Suspect finished strong and edged out MLC and BBS by a single point to take the win! As always, we had a tie for 2nd. With a quick tie breaker question and a couple of silly answers, we had our 2nd place team! Congrats to Missouri Loves Company for taking 2nd!

Game 2:
More shenanigans were to be had in this game! Pineapple was making up for a shaky game 1 and came out strong with 14 points in the 1st 2 rounds. However, their lead was very little as Pocket and BBS were just 1 point shy at 13. The Usual Suspect and Mouseaholics were in the mix as well just 3 points out of 1st place.
Pineapple did their best to blow the game with a low 3 point round 3, opening the door for the teams on their butt. However, with 6 bonus points, they held off The Usual Suspect and Pocket by a single point to take the W. BBS and Mouseaholics fought hard and had a great game but with only a single bonus point the entire game, they came up shy of 2nd place. In true Cowtown fashion, we had another tie for 2nd place! The Usual Suspect and Pocket were all knotted up at 22 points and I had a simple question for the 2 men who came up to answer – How many baby girls were named Pepper, in the UK, in 2017. We had a guess in the thousands and another guess in the hundreds…the answer was in the single digits! Congrats to Pocket for taking 2nd place.
