...is a great team name! This was going to be a great night of trivia with 13 amazing teams coming out to enjoy cold beer, hot food and amazing PubGuys trivia!
We welcomed in several new teams this week: Go Flyers, Voldemort, Boeing 737-Max, Holy Smokes, Uhhhhhh, Four Score & 7 Beers ago and Doggy Style. They were competing against our regulars, Mouseaholics, No Folk and Chance, Hot Tequila, Tequila is better cold and Budgie butt stuff. This was going to be a great night with 13 teams competing for 1st and 2nd place
Game 1:
From a row of crows to a group of asses, we had it all this game. Sports, Science, Politics, movies and much more!
With a great start to the game, we had 4 teams tied for 1st place and 3 teams (just 1 point behind) tied for 5th place. All teams knew that a murder was a row of crows but only 1 team got the bonus question that a Pace is a group of asses, not Angry Irishmen!
The Mouseaholics showed why they are always contenders for a winning spot with an amazing 7 points in round 2, taking a 1-point lead over Hot Tequila. Tequila is better cold were right on their heels, just 1-point out of 2nd place. Hoping for a chance, we had No Folk and Chance and Budgie butt stuff sitting at 9 points, just 2-points out of 2nd place. Our visiting team from Lockheed, Boeing 737-Max and Uhhhhhhh were making a showing as they were within striking range of 2nd place, sitting at a good score of 8 points.
Going into the final round of game 1, the Mouseaholics took a tumble, leaving the door open for Hot Tequila. Tequila is better cold and Budgie butt stuff had a great round 3 but fell 3-points shy of placing 2nd, tying for 4th. No Folk and Chance had a great comeback but could not climb out of the hole they fell into in round 2. Yet again, we had a tie for 1st and Hot Tequila found a way to catch up to the Mouseaholics.
Our tie breaker question was: “According to the international Mountaineering and Climbing Federation, how many mountain peaks are more than 8000 meters above sea level?”
Mouseaholics guessed 4 while Hot Tequila went with 27. The correct number was 14!

Game 2:
What the heck is Cocomelon!?!?!?
Finding their way out of the heat, Tequila is better cold found their rhythm with a great 8 points in round 1. However, they were contending with Budgie butt stuff and Mouseaholics who also received 8 points in round 1. Not to be left behind, No Folk and Chance, Doggy Style and Hot Tequila were just 1-point behind them. Four Score and 7 9 Beers ago and Voldemort were keeping themselves within striking range, would they make a move in round 2?
The Mouseaholics took a 3-point lead over No Folk and Chance and Budgie butt stuff in round 2 with an amazing 9 points! Tequila is better cold kept their head up high and were only 1-point out of 2nd place, just behind No Folk and Chance and budgie butt stuff. This would be a photo finish ending to a very tight game!
I thought the game changing question would be “According to analyses done by Forbes and Reelgood what was the most watched children's show on Netflix in 2020?” However, these teams proved me wrong as 45% of them knew that this was Cocomelon. I have never heard this show and apparently, I was incorrect in my thinking that I was going to get a nice big BOO on this question.
Sometimes you are hot, sometimes you are cold. In this case it was much better to be cold as Tequila is better cold got an amazing 10 points in round 3, giving them a 1-point margin of victory over No Folk and Chance and Budgie butt stuff. Yes, that means we had a tie for 2nd place this game! You always find a way to get a tie in almost every game, every week! Therefore, I love this venue and these teams. Pocket had a strong showing but fell just 4 points short of 2nd place finishing 5th. Mouseaholics just missed out by 1-point as they took 4th place. Hot Tequila had a great round 1 and 3 but they got iced in round 2 and could not recover from the frost bite.
Our tie breaker question for 2nd was “Over the course of the 60’s TV show batman, how many different words were overlaid on the screen during fight scenes?”
No Folk and Chance went with 17 and Budgie butt stuff went with 5. The correct Answer was 84!
