Well ok, a dozen teams fighting for a Win!
We welcomed in several new teams this week: The infinity Stones, Jesus Freaks, Runners Trots, Be Low Me, Blast Table, Maverick and Mayhem and The Strangest Things. They were competing against our regulars, Mouseaholics, No Folk and Chance, Shit Show, Blueberry Bulldogs and Hot Tequila. This was going to be a great night with 12 teams competing!
Game 1:
Game 1 round 1 started off with 5 teams tied for first. If you play at this location, you know that ties are the norm around here! It was good to see some new teams in the mix for first as Infinity Stones and, Jesus Freaks and Maverick and Mayhem started off great. Be Low me was right behind, only down by a single point going into round 2. Hot Tequila started a little cold and Runners Trots were slow getting out of the gate. Round 2 we saw some separation as Mouseaholics, Jesus Freaks, Shit Show, Be Low me and Hot Tequila took the top spots. Maverick and Mayhem had a chaotic round 2 with only a single point. With our top teams all within a point of each other, this would come down to the final round and bonus points.
The Mouseaholics certainly knew their stuff as they took 8 points in round 3, the lead and the win! Jesus Freaks found themselves needing a prayer as they took 2 points in the final round dropping them into a tie for 3rd. Hot Tequila got hot at the right moment with an amazing 5 bonus points to move them into a TIE, yes, a tie for 2nd place. They would compete against Shit Show to see who would take 2nd. With a single question for a 2nd place win, we saw Hot Tequila take the W and 2nd place. It was a great game by all the teams. What would we see in game 2?

Game 2:
This game was a Scream! Literally. You shall see…
The Mouseaholics came out proving why they are a top trivia team at Cowtown, with an amazing 8 points to start the game! Maverick and Mayhem came out of their chaotic spin in game 1 to start off in 2nd place. No Folk and Chance seemed to have no chance as they were left behind with only 2 points. Round 2 would be a game changer but not a lead changer. Hot Tequila, No Folk and Chance, Maverick and Mayhem and Mouseaholics all got 6 points and were showing off their knowledge. Would it be enough? Could No Folk and Chance get a chance to be in the winner’s circle? Could Hot Tequila stay hot and defeat their nemesis, the Mouseaholics?
Our final question of the night, was a scream! I wanted to know "What is the actual on-screen name of the costume worn by the killer in Scream?" Sadly, no team knew this answer and I got a lot of fun, wrong answers. Ghost Face was the most popular incorrect answer and for this question, the final question of the night, I got a nice resounding BOOOOO!! How fitting. I was looking for Father Death as the answer! Now you know why game 2 was a Scream!
In round 3 we saw the Mouseaholics avoid the mice traps and take 1st place again! No Folk and Chance had a slim chance, but they fell short, by a single point, landing in 3rd. Maverick and Mayhem should their glamour and knowledge, but they could not cause enough chaos and fell to 4th. Hot Tequila stayed hot and we able to edge out a 2nd place showing in game 2!
