Game 1: Bonus Questions - Mario Trivia
From Princess Toadstool (or now Peach) to the King of the Koopas, Bowser, we had some fun Mario questions as our bonus questions this evening.
We welcomed back that adorable, fun mouse pack the Mouseahilics tonight and they would pit themselves against our regulars: Hot Tequila, Dimestore Drinkers and Simpletons. We also welcomed in new teams: PML, Merry Quiz in my pants, Constructionists, Inlet Cleaners, The Mamoons, Bun e Bois and BOD. It was going to be a great night of PubGuys Trivia!
2 Rounds in and we had a good game going. Mouseaholics were making a statement and were tied for 1st with newcomers Merry Quiz in my pants. However, Hot Tequila, PML and Constructionists were hot on their heels at 9. Dimestore Drinkers and Simpletons were not quite out of it but would need a good round 3 to find their way into 1st or 2nd.
Round 3 would be a game changer or game maker for 2 teams. Just for fun I threw out another bonus question in the hopes of not having a tie, which is more the norm at Cowtown Brewery. We asked what the name of the Lone Rangers horse is so I also wanted to know the name of Tonto’s horse. Along with the 6 Mario bonus questions, we would not have a tie…or so I thought! With an amazing 5 points in the final round and 6 out of 7 bonus questions, the Mouseaholics welcomed themselves back to Cowtown and 1st place. However, they were not to take the game without a fight as Hot Tequila got 5 points and 7 bonus questions to, yes, TIE the Mouseaholics for 1st place. Just short of 1st we had PML get 19 points and Merry Quiz in my Pants and Dimestore Drinkers tied for 4th at 18.
With a quick tie breaker question, we had our winner! I wanted to know: As of July 2018, how many companies did China have in the Fortune Global 500 list? Congrats to our Winners and welcome back MOUSEAHOLICS!

Another crazy night and thank you all for your patience while I sorted out some fun, technical difficulties. But hey, it added to the drama going into the final game and final round tonight! We had some fun bonus questions centered around the DC universe,
Two rounds in and again we had the Mouseaholics and BOD tied at 12 points. Hot Tequila seemed to go cold in game 2 and were down in a tie for 5th place at 8 points. Could BOD maintain their hot streak? Could the Dimestore Drinkers fight their way back into the winner’s circle? With an amazing 8 points they certainly tried! However, with just 1 bonus point during the game, they saw themselves tied for 5th with Merry Quiz in my pants. Simpletons fought hard but finished in 4th place. With 6 points in the final round, BOD, found themselves in 2nd place, 1 point shy of 1st place. However, when you get hot, you get Hot Tequila! With 6 out of 6 bonus points and an incredible 10 points in the final round, they found themselves tied for 2nd with BOD! Once again, welcome back Mouseaholics, as they took 1st place by a single point! Our tie breaker question this time was: In 2017 how many girls were born in the UK and named Pepper? We had some rough guesses here, 150000 and 400. The answer was 4. Congrats to Hot Tequila, who got hot at the right time and took 2nd place.
