Game 1:

We had some amazing teams come out tonight and brave this wonderful Texas heat and get their Trivia on!  We welcomed back Dimestore Drinkers to our Family as they returned from their busy schedule and stopped in.  We had No Folk and Chance in the house as well as several newcomers.   Kilpatrick and Co. were back to play as well.

If you follow The Angry Irishman on Facebook, you got a leg up on what the themed, bonus questions were going to be, and they all would come into play.  With 2 rounds in we had Team Micropeen leading the pack with 13 points.  However, Kilpatrick and Co were hot on their tails at 11 points.  We had a mess of teams sitting just out of the money at 8 points.

1 Round to go, 5 questions to go and 2 more bonus questions over 1960’s music, artists, and albums.  Kilpatrick and Co. made their move and with 6 points in the final round they reached for the stars but fell just short of 1^st place by a single point!  Team Micropeen, even with only 4 points in the final round, held on to take the W!  Dimestore Drinkers, No folk and chance and Cowtown all played well but fell short of 1^st or 2^nd place.

However, Team Micropeen could not take the W as the team was the Cowtown Staff.  So, taking the W and the money was Kilpatrick and Co. and Dimestore Drinkers.

Game 2:

As we all refilled our glasses, ordered another round of grub, and did a mental reboot, we started game 2.  With a fast start, No Folk and Chance was looking to take the W with an amazing 12 points in the first 2 rounds.  But newcomers It’s too damn cold pulled a fast one and took 12 points in the first 2 rounds.  Dimestore Drinkers and Kilpatrick and Co. were close by sitting at 8 and 10 points respectively. 

Our bonus question theme this game was all about Spielberg.  We would test the team’s knowledge on Spielberg movies, awards won and actors in his movies.

It’s too damn cold apparently went cold in round 3 taking only 2 points.  No Folk and Chance and Kilpatrick and Co. had a good round 3 taking 5 points but Dimestore Drinkers took 7 points and with their 8 bonus points, they took a leap and ended up taking the W as well, edging out Kilpatrick and Co. by 2 points.  No Folk and chance fell just short of 2^nd sitting at 21 points.

What a close game and what an amazing night of Trivia!
