Game 1:
Another great night for Trivia at Cowtown Brewing Co.! The wings were delicious, the beer flavorful and the Trivia was crazy as always. With 2 rounds down, I knew this was going to be a game and one for the record books! Mr. Solo Dolo Clan was sitting in 1st place at 11 points, but they were hanging on by a thread as Got Here Late and No Folk and Chance were sitting in 2nd place, at 10. However, nobody could rest in round 3 as The Losers, Not Smarts, Jersey!, and Hot Tequila were just 1 point behind them, all tied for 3rd place at 9 points.
Here we go, round 3 – 5 questions + 2 more bonus questions on Ancient Rome were being thrown out. Five, six, seven, eight were the scores of our top teams. While 8 is great, it was not enough for Not Smarts to move into 1st place. 7 was heaven for Got Here Late but it was not quite enough to make it through the pearly gates as they also did not move into 1st. 5 was divine but it was not enough for Jersey! to move into 1st. With 6 in the mix, The Losers were able to look around and pat themselves on the back as they did have enough points to take 1st place, by a single point! Now for the fun part. We had a 3 way tie for 2nd place between Got Here Late, Jersey!, and Not Smarts!
When in Rome, stay in Rome! As I summoned a gladiator from the 3 teams, I pondered my question. There would only be 1 thumb up in this gladiatorial match! I wanted to know when Rome became the capital of Italy. 3 gladiators entered but only 1 would leave victorious. Got Here Late – thumb down. Not Smarts – thumb down. Jersey! – THUMB UP!

Game 2:
Here we go! One more game for the night with bonus questions based on X-Men. Who would channel their inner mutant the best? Not Smarts was proving the stronger as they were sitting at 13 points after 2 rounds. Hot Tequila always finds a way to scorch people and they were hot on Not Smarts tail sitting at 12 points. Peasant Workers and A Drinking team with a Trivia Problem were in the mix as well, tied for 3rd at 10 points. Got here late and No Folk and Chance rounded out our top 5 teams.
I had a lot of bonus points this game as there were several multi-part questions. With an amazing 12 bonus points and 8 points in round 3, Peasant Workers proved they were Omega mutants as they smashed their way past Hot Tequila and Not Smarts to take 1st place with a staggering 30 points!
Our Epsilon level mutants, rounding out our top 6 teams were Bubbaroo and Got here late. Our Beta level mutants were A drinking team with a trivia problem as they finished in 4th place. Our Alpha level mutans, tied for 2nd place were Hot Tequila and Not Smarts. Once again, we had a tie! We all know the drill, 1 player, 1 question, 10 seconds, and 1 victor. I did not go x-men on this question, I went with a money question. I wanted to know how many states are on the reverse of the $5. With a guess of 15 and a guess of 10, we had our winner! Congrats to Hot Tequila! But wait! Peasant workers could not take the $ as they work at Cowtown Brewing Co.. While they have bragging rights, as always, we passed the money down to the top 2nd place team – Hot Tequila! Which left Not Smarts in second place!

A huge shout out to Christiana, Hannah, Samir, and Max for taking care of the Teams tonight. You all keep the beers full; the food is delivered hot, and you make my life easier as I host Trivia.
