...what a night we had at Cowtown Brewing Co.. We had 2 amazing games before the Thanksgiving break. We welcomed a visiting team, The Flame and the Void, to Cowtown as their normal venue would be closed on Thursday. We welcomed in a new team as well! Welcome Clitorally Speaking.
Game 1:
Round 1 the teams got off to a slow start as nobody scored over 4 points. Once round 2 started, the thinking caps were more secure and we saw Hot Tequila, take charge of the game. However, Your mom’s Saturday night, and The Flame and the Void were nipping at their heels. With one round to go it was still up for grabs. The Flame and the Void were extinguished in round 3, opening a hole for Your Mom’s Saturday night. Congrats to Hot Tequila for holding on and taking the W and Your Mom’s Saturday Night for squeaking out a 1 point, 2nd place finish this week. What a finish!
Game 2:
This game had it all! Lead Changes, tougher questions, and a little chaos! 3 Teams came out vying for the lead while a couple of teams I think were getting a fresh beverage. Round 2 we started to see some separation of knowledge as The Flame and the Void, Tequila is better cold and Hot Tequila took a substantial lead over Spooning Leads to Forking, Your Mom’s Saturday Night and Clitorally Speaking. Round 3 brought more chaos we had the visitors, The Flame and the Void, take charge and almost take a W home. Alas, it was a TIE, again! Tequila is better cold vs. The Flame and the Void – 1 Question…How many blood types do dogs have? 1 player, 1 answer and 1 winner. Congrats to Tequila is Better cold for getting the closest.
It was a great game night! The Cowtown staff was crazy busy and crazy awesome taking care of everyone. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving all! I look forward to seeing you all next week.
