…but we brain farted on where the 2013 America’s Cup was held.  You should have gone with your heart, not your head on this one as almost every team guessed San Diego. 

Game 1:

We had some new teams with week to add to our Trivia Family.  We welcomed – My Couch Pulls out but I don’t, Margin Hunters, Trivia King, and Shrek and Fiona.  We had a lot of our regulars to, so this was bound to be a great match!  The surprise was a 7 point round 1 for Margin Hunters, who took a quick lead over 5 other teams.  However, that would not last as the Mouseaholics, Hot Tequila and My Couch pulls out, but I don’t, took advantage of round 2 and jumped into the lead by 1 point.  Tequila is better cold was also in the hunt for first place, only down by 1 point as well.  As always, round 3 and the bonus points make or break your score.  With Hot Tequila, Mouseaholics and My Couch all getting 6 points in the final round we could have had a 3-way tie for 1^st.  However, it was Hot Tequila and My Couch getting 1 more bonus point to tie for 1^st and a chance for the win.  With a closer guess by 1, we had our winner, winner BBQ and Beer Dinner! CONGRATS! 

Game 2:

Yet again we had a wild and crazy start to this game with 8 teams tied after the first round.  I mean come on…give your host a rest on the ties.  Nah, who am I kidding, I LOVE IT!  Round 3 is where we saw some separation as the bitter rival Tequila is better cold and Hot Tequila were tied for first going into the final round.  Who would prevail?!?!  With a rough round 3, Tequila is better cold’s score went cold and Hot Tequila was able to break the tie and take first by 4 points.  Last years Champs made a surprise surge in rounds 2 and 3 to come back and tie the once co-leader Tequila is better cold to give us another tie in game 2.  With a single question of how many notes does White Christmas have, we found out who would take second.  Congrats to My Couch on taking 2^nd.

A huge shoutout to the Cowtown Brewing Co. Staff for taking care of all the trivia heads.  Thanks to Gavin, Heather, Rob, Patrick, and Christiana!  You make my job a lot easier!
