...at least it started that way. However, the night turned out beautiful and the patio was full.

Game 1:
The old and the new teams gathered tonight to enjoy 2 games of PubGuys trivia, and they would not disappoint!
2 rounds in and we had 2 new teams sitting at the top, tied with our regulars, No Folk and Chance. DUI of the Tiger and The Natural Disasters were sitting at 13 points and looking to upset our regular teams tonight. However, we had 1 round left and 2 more bonus questions for the night.
With 8 points in round 3, The Usual Suspects made a valiant effort to make it into the top 2 after falling behind by 3 points in the first 2 rounds. However, as mighty as their 3rd round score was, they fell just 1 point shy of 2nd place with 23 points. No Folk and Chance had 3 great rounds too, but with only 3 bonus points they fell to 4th place. With 1 bonus point over The Natural Disasters, we saw DUI of the Tiger tie for 1st place with both teams sitting at 24 points. As you can tell 4th place was sitting at 22 points and we had a tie for first at 24 points. What a close game!
To make it an interesting tie breaker, we wanted to know how many feature films Laurel and Hardy starred in together. With a guess of 7 and a guess of 12, we had our winning team!

Game 2:
Would the newcomers keep up the winning streak or would No Folk and Chance, The Usual Suspects or Spooning Leads to Forking take the W? We would find out in 3 rounds.
With an amazing 9 points in round 2, we saw No Folk and Chance take a 3-point lead over Dimestore Drinkers (welcome back Dimestore!). The Usual Suspects, DUI of the Tiger and The Natural Disasters were sitting close with 8 or 9 points. They were all within striking distance of 1st.
Round 3 we saw The Natural Disasters and No Folk and Chance take 7 points. The Usual Suspects, while only taking 5 points in round 3, knew their state mottos as they received 6 of 6 bonus points. Would that allow them to take 1st? They were close but fell just 2 points shy of 1st, taking 2nd place with 19 points. DUI of the Tiger fell to 4th place with just 3 points in round 3. The Natural Disasters made a comeback with 7 points in round 3, but with only 2 bonus points they fell just 1 point shy of 2nd sitting at 18 points.
Congrats to No Folk and Chance as they took 7 points in round 3 and even though they had 1 bonus points it was enough to take 1st with 21 points!

What a great ending to a fun night! It is always an exciting time during PubGuys Trivia at Cowtown Brewery Co. on Tuesday nights.
