...Oh what a brain fart!

My sincere apologies to my trivia family at Cowtown Brewery!  My week got away from me and I totally neglected to provide you all with a write-up of last week’s amazing games!  So, without further ado, here we go!

Game 1:

11 teams fighting for the honor of taking the W in game 1.  We had newcomers Mostly Engineers, Special Bunnies, Dickey’s, Cool Kids, and Wrong side of History.  They were competing against the regulars comprised of Mouseaholics, Hot Tequila, The Sharks and Marty McSorely (new name, old team).  With an energetic round 1 we had 3 teams tied at first and 3 teams tied for second.  Going into round 3 we had Hot Tequila 2 points behind the Mouseaholics with Marty McSorely, Mostly Engineers and The Sharks hot on their heels as well.  Stepping on a mousetrap in round 3, the Mouseaholics left the door open and Hot Tequila took full advantage of it.  In true Cowtown fashion, we had a TIE for first at the end of Game 1.  Special Bunnies, Marty McSorely and Special Bunnies made a valiant effort but fell just short.  For the game winning question, I wanted to know “Of the 68 Aircraft carriers that the United States have built, how many saw active duty in 2016?”.  With an answer of 6 from the Mouseaholics and an answer of 7 from Hot Tequila, we had our winner!  Congrats to Hot Tequila as the correct answer was 10!  It was a great game and an exciting finish!

Game 2:

As always, this game was close but alas no tie.  Sitting in first with a 2-point lead, the Mouseaholics were looking to get revenge on Hot Tequila for sinking their battleship in game 1.  Marty McSorely, Wolfpack and Mostly Engineers were keeping pace but fell a little short.  After a tie with the Mouseaholics in round one, Hot Tequila cooled off dropping 2 points in round 2 and another 2 points in round 3 thus falling 4 points shy of another tie.  All teams were amazing and yet again proved to me why this venue is amazing for Trivia!

A huge shoutout to Rob, Gavin, Christiana, Heather, and Patrick for taking care of the host and trivia heads tonight.  The Cowtown crew is amazing!

I look forward to seeing you all this week at Cowtown Brewing Co. from 7pm – 9pm for another amazing night of PubGuys Trivia!
