...as we had Hobbitses in the house!
Trivia night at Cowtown Brewing Co. is always a rollicking affair, but this evening was destined to be especially memorable with The Angry Irishman at the helm. As teams gathered, eagerly anticipating an evening of brain-teasing questions and frosty beverages, the atmosphere crackled with excitement.
Game 1 kicked off with a buzz of anticipation, and as the teams indulged in some pregame revelry with ice-cold beers and mouthwatering BBQ, The Angry Irishman laid down the rules with his trademark flair. With paperwork sorted, the competition commenced.
Surprising everyone, newcomers "Two Queens in a Tahoe" stormed into the lead, racking up an impressive 16 points after just two rounds. However, hot on their heels was "Beer Pressure," living up to their name with 15 points. "Peasant Workers" and "Got Here Late" weren't far behind, showcasing their trivia prowess with 12 points each.
As the final round loomed, tension hung thick in the air. Would there be a dramatic shift in the leaderboard, or would the Queens maintain their lead? Thanks to an extra bonus point, 5 to 4, Beer Pressure was able to shock the Queens as these two strong teams ended in a tie for 1st. The teams had the option for 1 question or Rock-Paper-Scissors to decide the winner. With their decision made, a quick count to 3, the hands were thrown, and it was the Queens scissors cutting Beer Pressure’s paper. Well done, Queens! Despite a valiant effort, "Peasant Workers" secured third place, while "Got Here Late," "A Drinking Team with a Trivia Problem," and "The Hobbitses" rounded out the top six.

With the conclusion of Game 1, excitement peaked as teams prepared for Game 2, all starting from scratch.
In Game 2, "The Hobbitses" took an early lead with an impressive 13 points after two rounds, holding a two-point advantage over Beer Pressure. However, the night was far from over, and with the final round looming, anything could happen.
Under the theme of "Under Pressure," Beer Pressure lived up to their name, dominating the final round with 11 points, securing a well-deserved victory. Despite a late surge, "The Hobbitses" couldn't maintain their lead, but still managed to secure second place, much to the delight of their loyal fans.
"Peasant Workers," "A Drinking Team with a Trivia Problem," "Phuket," and "Cognitive Burnouts" rounded out the top five teams of Game 2, showcasing the diverse range of competitors and the fierce competition that characterized Cowtown Brewing Co.'s trivia nights.
As the night ended, it was evident that another memorable evening had unfolded at Cowtown Brewing Co. Laughter, camaraderie, and a healthy dose of competitive spirit had filled the air, leaving participants already eagerly anticipating the next installment of trivia night with The Angry Irishman at the helm.
