Sadly, I thought I had sent this in last week, but life got to the Angry Irishman. Here is a quick write-up for the week of the 7th for Cowtown Brewing Co.
New specials at Cowtown during Trivia. We have $15 pitchers on select beers and you get 3x the Trailblazer rewards as well!
Game 1:
Another gorgeous Tuesday evening and the patio was open. We had 4 regulars taking on 5 new teams. We keep getting more and more teams out at Cowtown and it is making it extremely fun and exciting.
2 rounds in and it was still a race for 1st and 2nd. We had Hot Tequila in the lead at 10 points and Pocket and Mouseaholics all knotted at 9. The Usual Suspects were sitting within striking distance at 8 points.
One round to go but it was a tough round for all teams as 6 of the teams, including our top 4 only received 4 points for round 3. This would be based on the bonus questions and our top 2 teams had an amazing 8 bonus points! This was enough to keep them in 1st and 2nd and take the top 2 spots.

Game 2:
Another fast 2 rounds but a crazy start for The Usual Suspects who came out swinging with 14 points in 2 rounds. Hot Tequila was in the mix, trying to take 1st place again with 11 points but their nemesis, the Mouseaholics were edging them out with 12 points.
With such a quick start, could The Usual Suspects keep it up or would Hot Tequila or the Mouseaholics find a way to leapfrog them? One of our top 3 took 4 points in round 3, another took 5 points, and one team took an amazing 8 points in the final round! The 8 points and 6 bonus points was enough to let Hot Tequila leap over the usual suspects to repeat their 1st place win by a single point! What an amazing finish to game 2!
We had several new teams; several new players and I hope to see you all next Tuesday!
