Game 1:
What a beautiful evening at Cowtown Brewery! The Patio was packed because the weather was awesome. Tonight, we had our regulars: Hot Tequila. They would play against their bitter rival: Tequila is better cold. We also had the following teams in for some fun: Budgie butt stuff, Stupid Smart, Clowntown part 2, Foggy Bottoms, A$$holes in the air, and Belieber.
2 rounds in and it was a tough fight! Budgie butt stuff and Tequila is better cold were sitting at the top tied at 12 points. However, we had Hot Tequila hot on their trail at 11 points and Stupid Smart, proving oxymorons are smart too in 4th place, just 2 points out of first.
Hot Tequila went cold in the final round, only getting 2 points and jeopardizing their chances of taking 1st or 2nd. Would their 6 bonus points save them? With only 4 points in round 3 but also having 6 bonus points, Budgie Butt Stuff held off our 2nd place team by a single point! However, with 6 points and 5 bonus questions, we saw a rival take down the favored team! Tequila is better cold was able to keep Hot Tequila out of the winner’s circle by a single point! What a finish, what a game! What a way to start the night!

Game 2:
After such a close game 1, what would game 2 bring? Could Hot Tequila get back to their winning ways? Would the underdog pull of another upset? Would Budgie butt stuff remain the top team tonight?
We quickly knew after 2 rounds as Budgie butt stuff took a quick 5-point lead over the rivals, Hot Tequila and Tequila is better cold! Stupid Smart was also in the mix at 9 points, tied with the rivals! Foggy Bottoms, Clowntown, Belieber and Assholes in the Air were having a tough go at it but we still had 1 round to go and they could sneak into 2nd place with an amazing round and bonus points.
With a 5-point lead and an amazing 7 points in round 3, we saw our winner: Budgie Butt Stuff. There was still a fight for 2nd place, and we had 3 teams making a move. One team was able to elevate their game, take 5 bonus points and 7 points in the final round to solidify their place in 2nd. Congrats to Tequila is better cold as we had a repeat of winning teams in game 2! Hot Tequila, as always, had a great showing but tonight was not their night. Stupid Smart play more smart than stupid but it was a tough night for them on the bonus questions. CONGRATS to our winning teams!
