Game 1:
A packed house tonight as everyone wanted to get out of the house and enjoy some amazing beer and BBQ! As the food was delivered and the beer was poured, I was ready for game 1!
New Teams, regular Teams and old teams were in the house tonight to battle for 1st and 2nd place. Once the beers were poured and the food was served, the shenanigans began. With 2 rounds down it was, as always going to be a great night with close scores.
Chips and Salsa took a quick 2 point lead over No Folk and Chance, Peasant Workers and Mondelbaum! Mondelbaum. Just out of the top 2 were Yeasty Boys, Law and Disorder and Carlie had to work. After these top teams we had a mass of teams just sitting within striking distance, ready to pounce on any team that made a mistake.
Chips and Salsa and No Folk and Chance saw their hopes get smashed as they only took 4 points in round 3. However, one of them had 7 bonus points in the game but would that be enough to stay in the top 2? Law and Disorder reached for the stars and with their 7 points in round 3, they saw themselves sitting in a comfortable 2nd place at 24 points. Yeasty Boys had a great round 3 as well but found themselves sitting in 5th place. With an astounding 9 out of 9 points in round 3, Peasant Workers took off and took the W in game 3 with a great score of 29! However, they cannot win as that is the staff team and in fair play they made way for Law and Disorder to take the official W in Game 1. Now as far as 2nd place, No Folk and Chance’s 7 bonus points was enough to keep them in a tie for 2nd place with Chips and Salsa. To save time the teams decided to do a quick Rock Paper Scissor for 2nd place. Congratulations to No Folk and Chance for scissoring Chips and Salsa’s paper!

Game 2:
One game down, one to go. 3 rounds, 15 questions and at least 6 bonus questions. We were in for another close game!
Beer Pressure, after failing to make the top 5 in game 1, came out and sat in first place just 1 point over TTB Crew and No Folk and Chance. Law and Disorder and FW Guys were sitting in the mix just 1 point out of 2nd place. Still in the mix, with a shot at the money we had Carlie had to work, The Girls Room, Garlic, Your next drink is on the house and Peasant workers. Granted, they needed a team to make a mistake and they needed to have a great score in order to make the top 2. I have seen it happen before, many times but would it happen tonight? We would find out as we started round 3.
Out of our top teams going into round 3, 4 teams took 5 points in round 3, 1 team took 6 points, 1 team with 4 points and 1 team only took 2 points. However, in a shocker, 2 points was enough to keep No Folk and Chance in 2nd place for game 2! With 5 points being the median score in round 3, the bonus points came into play and we saw TTB Crew make a quick move and leap over No Folk and Chance, Beer Pressure and Law and Disorder to take 1st place in game 2! Carlie had to work was sitting in 5th place, round out our top 5 teams of game 2!
However, with PubGuys Trivia, all our teams are winners as we gather for trivia, beer and food and have a great time competing in a friendly, fair manner. All of these teams are super smart and super fun! You make hosting a true joy for The Angry Irishman!
