HOT TEQUILA! It was a great night of competetive Trivia!
Game 1:
I am not sure what size ping-pong table some teams are used to but they for sure are not 75ft long by 42in wide. That my trivia heads are a bowling lane. Yes, with questions like this starting off the game it made it a great night! We welcomed in 4 new teams this week with The Last Kaiser, Wild Falcons, Soggy Pickles and Car Ram Rod. How would they fair against the heavy favorites of Hot Tequila, Winner Winner Chicken Dinner and Spooning Leads to Forking? I will have to say, they held their own! Out of 9 teams we had 3 ties for 6th. Then it got interesting with the top 5 teams all out lasting the team behind them by a single point. From 17 points to 21 points, it was a photo finish. Congrats to HOT TEQUILA for holding on and taking the chicken dinner and spoon away from Winner Winner Chicken Dinner and Spooning Leads to forking and taking first place in game 1! What an amazing finish and that is one of the many reasons PubGuys Trivia is so much fun at Cowtown!
GAME 2:
Would it be more of the same? Oh, you know it! Apparently, no teams had a Confundo spell cast on them and knew that JK Rowling was the first billion-dollar author. On the other hand, nobody could buy a clue to know the title of the chief magistrates of Venice. It was not Merchant, but I appreciate what you did there.
While Hot Tequila had a grand start to the game, it was No Folk and Change and Spooning Leads to Forking that took the shot (Hot or Cold) and TIED for 1st. Oh yes, another week, another close game, and another tie! Pocket, Soggy Pickles and Car Ram Rod were not far behind but full short of the top 2. With a tie breaker question in the mix, who would take the win? Spooning Leads to forking edged out No Folk in chance with an answer closer to the correct number. How many countries border Germany? Spooning Leads to Forking – 6 / No Folk and Chance – 5. It was close, but there can be only one! Congrats to Spooning Leads to Forking on a great win!
Thank you to the Cowtown crew! Amazing as always!
I look forward to seeing you next week for some amazing PubGuys Trivia – Tuesday 7pm – 9pm.
Until then…
