Game 1:
A packed house tonight as everyone wanted to get out of the house and enjoy some amazing beer and BBQ! As the food was delivered and the beer was poured, I was ready for game 1!
The Losers were back from vacation, and they wanted to prove they were a top contender as they were sitting in 1st place after 2 rounds. Hot Tequila, About Tree Fiddy and Old Friends were hot on their tail, just 2 points behind. St. Jeezy, Kool Kids and Feats of Strength were also in the mix but would need a great round 3 to make it into the money!
I went Biblical on the teams tonight, as game 1 bonus questions were all Bible related. These teams would need every bonus point to ensure they ended in 1st or 2nd place. Dingle Bells, The Losers and Hot Tequila knew their Bible as they all amassed 6 bonus points. About Tree Fiddy also knew their stuff with 5 bonus points. When I say they needed an amazing round 3, they took it to heart as 3 of the top 4 teams took 8 points in round 3. With only 6 points in round 3, The Losers saw their chances of a victory slip away. Or did they? With Dingle Bells and Old Friends tying for 4th place and About Tree Fiddy taking 3rd place, we had ourselves a tie for 1st as Hot Tequila and The Losers were both sitting at 25 points.
We know the drill – 1 volunteer, 10s to answer 1 question. I wanted to know what year the 1st 3d movie was released. The 2 sacrificial lambs knew their movies as they were separated by only 3 points on their answers. Congrats to Hot Tequila for taking the W in game 1!

Game 2:
Here we go – game 2 and we had bonus questions based on MLB HOF players and managers. Hot Tequila and Feats of Strength came out swinging for the fences as they were sitting, tied for 1st place after 2 rounds. Where are my pants were sitting in 2nd place just 1 point behind our leaders. About three fiddy and old friends were in the mix as well, just 2 points behind the leaders.
Maybe I made the bonus questions a little to easy, but I cannot make them impossible. With 3 of the 4 top teams taking all 6 bonus questions, this was going to come down to their round 3 points. With 10 points in round 3, Dingle Bells made a rush for the top spot but fell short as they ended up in 5th place. Old Friends had a great round 3 too, but even with their 8 points they could not break the barrier into the top 2 as they finished in 4th place, just 1 point out of a tie for 2nd place. Hot Tequila once again took the W as they beat out Feats of Strength and About Three Fiddy.
Here we go again…another game, another tie, another single question to see who takes 2nd place. I stuck with Baseball and wanted to know how many homeruns Babe Ruth hit during his career. We had 2 great guesses and again, the difference was within 3! Congrats to Feats of Strength for taking 2nd place in game 2!
