PubGuys Trivia was back at it again at Cowtown Brewing for another head-scratching game of bar trivia! This week I covered for The Angry Irishman and was able to see some of the old teams from back when World of Beer - Ft. Worth was still open! It was great fun to get back into hosting trivia, and I hope to see everyone again, but next time as a player, not the host! This was personally the largest crowd I've ever had with twenty teams and over sixty players! Let's get into it to find out what happened!

Game 1
Because we had twenty teams it's going to be difficult to summarize how everyone did, but I'll give it my best shot! There were a few teams that dominated the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place spots for this whole game, including: Beer Pressure, Got Here Late, and Hot Tequila! Although we had several ties during Round 1, Hot Tequila ultimately took first place, forcing Got Here Late and Beer Pressure to have a high-stakes battle for 2nd place with a single round of Rock, Paper, Scissors (so riveting!). Beer Pressure managed to win that hard-fought battle, but there was still one question that stumped almost everyone:
This question fell under the category of Literature, so you had to have a fair knowledge the Robinson Crusoe book series. The correct answer was:
Although we had no Visual Round or Themed Round, we did have a theme for our Bonus Questions, and that theme was Mel Brooks Films!
Game 2
For Game 2 a lot of the top teams from Game 1 stuck around, but there are a few other teams that earned honorable mention: A Drinking Team With a Trivia Problem came in the top 3 for two rounds, and I Thought This Was Speed Dating also came in right outside of the top three teams at the end of the game. Ultimately Jerk Store and Beer Pressure tied at 25 points, but this time it was for 1st place! We managed to settle that with a tiebreaker question, and Jerk Store (previously from World of Beer - Ft. Worth) ended up winning the round with a last-minute change to their answer. Unlike Game 1, 2nd place from Game 2 was cut-and-dry, with Hot Tequila edging out Got Here Late by one point. Here's a question for Game 2 that stumped almost everyone:
Another Literature question that only two teams got correct! Seems like everyone needs a visit to the library... The correct answer was:
This time the theme for the bonus questions was American Fast Food Chains and, surprisingly, a lot of teams missed the answers completely!
