...for at least 1 more week!

Tuesday night at Cowtown Brewing Co. was nothing short of electric, as one full game of PubGuys Trivia brought out the best and brightest minds in Arlington. With cold beer flowing and the mouthwatering aroma of Outpost 36 Texas BBQ filling the air, the brewery was buzzing with energy. Trivia night at Cowtown always draws a great crowd, but this week’s game proved once again why it’s one of the most competitive and entertaining evenings around.

The format was the classic 6 rounds plus bonus questions, keeping teams sharp and the scoreboard tight. Right from the start, the tension and excitement were palpable as the game began.

Rounds 1 & 2: The Opening Salvo

The first round kicked off with strong performances from multiple teams. Hot Tequila and DC Takeover jumped out of the gate with matching scores of 6 points, setting the pace for a competitive night. Boats and Hoes kept themselves within striking distance with 4 points, while the rest of the field worked to settle into the rhythm of the game.

Round 2 saw the first major shakeup. DC Takeover surged ahead with an impressive 7-point haul, taking the early lead. Meanwhile, Hot Tequila stumbled slightly with just 2 points, opening the door for a potential momentum shift. Boats and Hoes added 5 more to stay in the mix, and the crowd cheered every score update as the tension grew.

Rounds 3 & 4: The Mid-Game Battle

By Round 3, the game truly began to heat up. Hot Tequila came roaring back, posting a massive 11-point round to reclaim control of the scoreboard. Their momentum shifted the balance of the game, while DC Takeover managed only 3 points, falling back into second place. Boats and Hoes stayed consistent with another 4 points, showing resilience in the middle rounds.

Round 4 continued the battle of the heavyweights. Hot Tequila tacked on 7 more, solidifying their lead. DC Takeover scored 5, doing their best to stay within striking distance. The rest of the field struggled to keep pace, but the competition remained fierce as everyone jockeyed for position heading into the final stretch.

Rounds 5 & 6: The Push to the Finish

Round 5 saw a dip in scoring across the board. Hot Tequila managed 3 points while DC Takeover answered with 6, closing the gap and setting up an exciting final round. Boats and Hoes and the trailing teams fought valiantly, but it was clear the top of the leaderboard belonged to the two front-runners.

The final round and bonus questions sealed the deal. Hot Tequila finished strong with 6 points plus 7 from their bonus, bringing their grand total to 42 points. DC Takeover stayed close with a solid 2 in the round and 10 on their bonus for a final score of 39 points. Boats and Hoes rounded out the top three with 27, while Spooning Leads to Forking, I Quizzed My Pants, and Team Name battled it out to finish just a step behind, all separated by a single point.

The crowd at Cowtown Brewing Co. was nothing short of amazing, with laughter, cheers, and plenty of good-natured trash talk filling the air all night long. The competition was tough, the beer was cold, the BBQ was unforgettable, and most importantly—everyone had fun.
