Tuesday night at Cowtown Brewing Co. was the place to be as the Angry Irishman brought the heat with a high-stakes, action-packed round of PubGuys Trivia. With our new single-game format—6 rounds and 2 bonus questions per round—every point mattered, and every answer had the potential to swing the scoreboard. Plus, we upped the ante with more money on the line for our 1st and 2nd place teams, and the turnout didn’t disappoint!
The brewery was buzzing, with the taproom filled wall to wall with eager teams, cold brews, and big energy. It was one of those nights where the trivia was tough, the laughter was loud, and the competition kept everyone on their toes.
From the start, it was clear that No Folk And Chance came ready to claim the crown. With a powerhouse performance in Rounds 3 and 6, plus clutch bonus question accuracy, they edged out the win with 40 points—earning them top honors (and top prize money)!
Close behind was Gavels Gone Wild, who kept pace all night and made a late surge with a perfect 10-point Round 5, bringing their total to 39 points. One more question and it could’ve been theirs!
Rounding out the top three was Hot Tequila, living up to their name by staying hot on the leaderboard. Their consistency across most rounds, especially in Rounds 3 and 5, landed them just one point out of second place with 38 points.
The middle of the pack was a fierce battleground:
Tipsy Me Stagger and CET tied with 29 points, showing moments of brilliance with strong early rounds.
Better Late Than Dead stayed in the fight and ended with 23 points, proving they're not to be underestimated.
And let’s give it up for Go Gooners—they may have had a rough night, but they brought great energy and good vibes!
This revamped format made the whole night feel fresh and fast-paced. With 12 bonus questions sprinkled throughout, teams had to stay sharp every round. There was no room to coast, and every team had moments to shine.
The crowd? Electric. The beer? Cold and flowing. The trivia? A perfect balance of challenging and hilarious. Whether it was guessing movie quotes, solving music mashups, or surviving the sports and science rounds, teams were locked in and having a blast.
