After a months-long absence, I approached last night with a certain amount of trepidation. I should not have. All of the players - both veterans and new - treated me as a long-lost friend and welcomed me back to the fold with open arms. It was gratifying and I am thankful for and to all of you.
After a tiny little outbreak of nerves and a too-long, but quickly and adeptly dealt with technical glitch we got the game rolling and on-track. I did have to speed along rounds 2 and 3 of the first game, but I think it all worked in the end. Congratulations to our longest-running players Quiz in My Pants for stomping on the competition all the way to the top of the pile in game one. And a very hearty welcome aboard to new players Just-Us who edged in front of veteran regulars to take second place.
The power hour was another story all-together. Returning team 2 Jerks simply ran away with it and dominated the second game with a 100% score on a very difficult thirdround. Veteran team, Mouseaholics and our first game winners Quiz in my Pants duked it out in a Hollywood-style tie-breaker finish with Mouseaholics grabbing that coveted second place gift card. The competition was fierce but friendly, competitive but kind. It was a great night; thanks for being part of it! For next week's bonus, tell Adam the last name of the person that starred in Red Ball Express and who shares his first name with the real first name of playwright Paddy Chayefsky.
