Last minute talent juggling ended up with me, PGKyle, once again hosting at the World of Beer in Arlington. PGMarc was busy in Plano, PGAdam went out to Ft. Worth and PGTerrill was flitting about in the hill country doing what Terrill does.
It is wonderful how only a little bit of preparation loosens one up for an entertainment-packed evening of PubGuys Trivia. I had a great time, I hope all of you did, too even though the questions were a bit on the tough side!
In the first game, we had a very serious race for 3rd place and another race for 2nd, but our 1st place team shone alone for nearly the entire game. Congratulations to This IS Our PLC for taking top honors and a big shout-out to a new team, Lima Bean, for taking second. We hope to see you next week.
The second game proved to be a bit more difficult even than the first game, and the scores showed it. However, This IS Our PLC once again proved their merit as masters of minutiae and shot to the top dominating the game and taking home the honors for the second time in the evening. My Drinking Team Has a Trivia Problem had a very solid showing for second place and (another new team) Pluck and Brews Your Daddy coming in right behind in third and fourth place respectively.
Thanks also need to go out to World of Beer in Arlington for arranging additional prizes that we awarded throughout the evening. The prizes were delivered by the delightful Kaitlyn of AB-InBev who were our sponsors on the evening. Thank you, Kaitlyn.
Next week, let Adam know the answer to this question, and your team will get a bonus point (make sure to tag the answer with #writeup on your answer sheet when you turn it in):
Take the number of counties in Texas
Multiply it by the number of protons in Oxygen
And subtract the value of the current year
