Another week, another unequivocally delightful trivia game!!

Winter is picking up its toys and going into their room, finally giving space for Spring to gently lay her palm upon the Earth, awakening all the living things.

And make the pollen go bananas. Allons-y!

Nine teams spent two hours in wholesome, demure, and gentle contemplation… In case you wonder, that is known as an alibi, since apparently I was described by someone during the game, as a charming but scary woman. I am apparently the Chupacabras, but in biped form. Neat.

Never doubt that the ties created during these games are not strong and bonding. Case in point the debut of The DMZ, an amalgamation of Brewsters and Let’s Get Quizzical, since all but two of the LGQ players took a leave due to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I hope to see them back soon, yet wish them the very best in their future endeavors.

Old Fogeys made a return visit, not that I could ever forget them or the Great Menudo Incident of 2022, and the new team Orange Hat did not understand the assignment and grabbed only one trivia sheet- chaos ensured when I told them, and the aforementioned name was picked to shame the member who did not grab the whole stack. You live, you learn, you get shamed by your friends.

Round one, question number 4, showed me exactly with what kind of people I was contending with,

  - In March 2012, after 244 years of publishing, what multi-volume resource announced that they would cease physical publication.

Since some of the answers included the Kama Sutra, or Playboy. Rest easy homies, your source of article reading is still intact. Well, at least one of them.

The rest of the game was spent learning about compound fruits, sharing in the hate for a well-known Disney ride, with a repeated themed song, often compared to Dante’s Sixth Circle of Hell. As well as most of you learning your own history. Somewhere out there, a History Teacher is drinking themselves into a stupor.

Our Bonus question got zero amount of love, due to being rather difficult to answer yet undeniably interesting

 - Name the last ten Best Picture Oscar winners that have one-word titles...

At the end of the game, most of my teams were ready to become someone else’s problem by going “beyond this place of wrath and tears”

Our scoreboard ended thusly: In third place, Orange Hat with 28 points. Landing second place was Yes! with 29 and claiming first place in their debuting night, The DMZ, with 37 points.

Notable mention goes to I love chicken tenders, Not Those Guys, Cold As F, Team B, and Millertime-  thank you for joining us!

Hope to see you all next week,

Always yours,

PGSnapdragon.
