Siren Rock Brewing Company

"It is said that the gods play games with the lives of men. But what games, and why, and the identities of the actual pawns, and what the game is, and what the rules are - who knows?" T. Pratchett

In our continuous installments of "she who holds the microphone is always right", we found ourselves submerged 10 teams deep, in culture and media knowledge. Riveting.

Not only did we learned about the dust of the Swift-Tuttle comet, commonly known as the Perseid Meteor Shower, we also touched on Czech legends, and how many of us danced in our rooms to pop music- and the liers who deny it.

After a prolonged absence I had the pleasant surprise of seeing Putin on the Blitz again, making a smashing return by battling it with Brewsters, and hip-checking them to take second place with a decisive lead of 7 points.

Conversely the flags of geekdom were held aloof, especially by Putin on the Ritz and Let's Get Quizzical, who got a perfect 10-point landing on our "StarWars IV A New Hope" bonus question.

Yet through the slew of knowledge, never has the Renaissance seen a bard twisting in its grave more than when I got the answers for

In which Shakespeare play does the Prince of Denmark ask "to be or not to be"?

Many, by the name of Legion, showed me they have never watched Doctor Faust.**

We had the pleasure of welcoming a few new teams, yet of them all High Pointers is the only one able to claim the conquest of Round Five, getting a perfect 10 point score.

Watch Out For Semis was the reincarnation of Space Force, bringing along one of the members' partners to keep that trio in check. Someone buy that woman a beer. And a cattle prod.

Brewsters was celebrating one of their own's birthday, Brandon was serenaded by the entire bar, and I ate bread pudding in his honor.

The end of our night found our scoreboard sharing a few miles in between teams. Let's Get Quizzical ransacked the night winning 60 out of 64 points of our total game.

Putin on the Blitz amassed 51 points, settling in second place with Brewsters claiming third with 44 points and Nice Team Name closing our top four with 43.

As always thank you to The Beer Bandit, Scott's Tots, Sophie and Ryan, and Beer Burps for joining us. We hope to see your faces often.

Our Siren Rock team continues to be amazing and a force to be reckoned with. Do not know what I would do without their infallible support.

Come out next Tuesday at 7pm to see what other trouble we can make, or just to eat and watch- the bread pudding is spectacular.

Always yours,

PubGall Snapdragon.
