Winter keeps knocking at our doors and forcefully rattling our door knobs, which made some of our teams report for duty, while others protested they had a note from their mother.
Upholding the old adage “If you can't dazzle them with dexterity, baffle 'em with hogwash", we launched into the night with three of our regular teams 2 for Tuesday, Brewsters, and Let’s Get Quizzical, welcoming the new additions of Budtenders, Ouch My Butthole, and Gruendel Gurus into the game.
Ouch My Butthole displayed what could be possibly described in a half light as a piquant sense of humor, yet will henceforth be known as OMB.
Budtenders was a team comprised of our Siren Rock Crew and two patrons, kudos for the combined effort to help everyone participate.
And it was obvious that Gruendel Gurus had a blast outfitting their table with enough empty glasses for a family reunion, while joking and catching styletto looks from yours truly.
The teams were few yet the air had the undiluted quality of static before a brewing storm. We could easily say that we were sitting in the tumble cycle of life without a dryer sheet. While it might have been faintly reassuring that our game was apparently under the control of somebody human, the more thoughtful of onlookers might have added “So what? So is a spoon”. And they would have been right.

There was only one team which answered correctly, earning them a notorious lead for a bit.
Round number 6 took us on a bit of a detour down memory lane, which by far what made me laugh the loudest, with
"Wannabe" was the first hit single by what pop group?
Jon from Let’s Get Quizzical started cheerfully hollering about the Spice Girls, while the rest of his group stared at him in several shades of “dude”.
Having 2 for Tuesday show up is always a treat, both of them always approach with a smile and witty comment which makes me miss them so when they are gone for long periods of time. Until next time you two!
On a serious note, a huge thank you to all the teams who understand the rules and abide by them. We had the unfortunate occurrence of a team using their cellphone to cheat, and I am reminded how lucky I am to have regulars who treasure their time at trivia and respect me and my efforts. Cheers to you, my fine homies.
That being said, our scoreboard ended with Let’s Get Quizzical taking the lead over Brewsters 4 points and claiming first place with an accrued total of 37. Following was Brewsters with 28, and in third place came 2 for Tuesday with 23 points.
