It was a busy week in The Wolf Den at False Idol Brewing this week, with 15 teams and just about 60 players coming out for some FREE trivia with PubGuys. I had their fantastic No No Square IPA this week, and they had a limited-time fundraising beer supporting multiple sclerosis research as well. Since the weather was nice they had the doors wide open again, and there was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy their beers and FREE trivia. The Kitchen Timer bonus round theme was "Name the 8 US Presidents that died while in office", for a chance at 8 additional points at the end of the game.

Game Summary

Once again this week we had the return of Pass the Ball, Jake, Fire on Mountain, and a team that hasn't been out for a few weeks going as Let's Go Mavs! There were quite a few new teams such as BFMC Bandits (a bike club supporting the aforementioned fundraiser), We Thought This Was Speed Dating, Barrel-E Made It, and None of Your Quiznos as well. Rounds 2 and 5 were also Themed Rounds, with one of the themes being East of Asia. That means for that round all the questions and/or the answers had something to do with Asia. There were fewer ties per round this week, and the game was pretty close. Soon enough, though, Let's Go Mavs took the lead and won the game by 6 points over a 2nd place that was tied between two teams. Everyone was on their A-game but there was one question that stumped everyone but one team:

• Who starred opposite Marilyn Monroe in 1955s The Seven Year Itch?

Teams guessed Jack Lemmon, Tony Curtis, and Cary Grant but, unfortunately, they were not correct. The correct answer was:

• Tom Ewell

It was a great time in The Wolf Den this week, as usual, and everyone had a blast. Not only are there great brews always on deck at False Idol, they also have a Daddy B's food truck out there with some amazing food as well. They have several new beers every week, so there's always a reason to bring some friends out. Did I mention that you could get FREE beer just for playing, too? That's right, each round the 1st place team for that round gets free beer tasters just for winning. So even if you don't win the overall game you can still be a winner for your round.
