It was a mild evening this week so the doors were wide open in The Wolf Den at False Idol! This week we had 9 teams and almost 40 players! Not only that but False Idol, as always, had some amazing beers on tap that will definitely keep your attention. This week I had their New England style IPA Let Me Fly! as well as their Macho Mug Vienna style lager. Both were fantastic, but I was a bigger fan of Let Me Fly because I do love me a tasty hazy IPA.
If you're good at trivia you should come out and play because you could try one of those beers FREE if you get 1st place for your round! No good at trivia? Come out anyways so you can watch football and have a few of their beers the freshest way possible: straight from the source! On top of that you could Steal the Pint and take a pint glass home with one of their select beers! Just remember to drink responsibly.
Game 1
Round 1 had a four way tie for 1st place between regulars IPA Lot and The Flame and The Void, along with newcomers Blue Falcons and Jingle My Bells. The tie was broken up with a rousing game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, and ultimately Jingle My Bells came out on top beating all the other teams for that round!
Round 3 beat up EVEYONE and I've NEVER had so many zero scores in a round since I started hosting a few months ago! It was nuts! It's not that we didn't have good answers, it's just that they were ALL WRONG. Nevertheless, Triple Threat won that round and the subsequent free beer tasters that come with getting 1st place each round. Here's one of the questions from Round 3 that NOBODY got right:
That question was especially tough because pronouncing Kurukuru Milk was a task in and of itself. I was met with a room full of blank stares and strange guesses like: spells, Pokemon names, and even Dragonball Z moves. None of them were close because the real answer was:
Even though Round 3 was an absolute massacre (6 teams got ZERO points!) the final winner of the game was Jingle My Bells with a fairly considerable seven point lead over 2nd place. Congrats to them for their win and their $50 gift card to False Idol! Do you want in on the fun?
