Unlike last week when we had a nice breeze and 60 degree weather, this week was extremely cold in The Wolf Den at False Idol Brewing. Even though it was cold we still had over 30 players ready to go at it for the chance to win free beer and/or a $50 gift card to False Idol. Every week it's FREE to play and you also get to support your local community brewery as well! I was able to try their Welcome to Earth! New England style hazy IPA, as well as their 69 Turbo Jet West Coast IPA; both were very good! 

Game 1

This week saw the return of Morning After Pilsner and The Flame and the Void showing up to try their hand at some trivia. We also had a birthday team come out under Help! I'm 60, and we had another group of regulars come out under Booty Patrol. Breanna's Really Real changes their name every week, and they definitely gave everyone a challenge this week. The final outcome for this game was actually very close, with only a 5 point spread between 1st and last place. We did have to do a Rock, Paper, Scissors showdown to get the winner, with Breanna's Really Real taking the win from Booty Patrol. Here's a question that stumped everyone: 

• In 1871, Henry Stanley finally located Dr. David Livingstone in the town of Ujiji which is in which present-day country?

There were tons of guesses like Japan, Nepal, New Guinea, and even Congo. But they were all wrong. The correct answer was:

• Tanzania

I will not be in The Wolf Den next week due to being out of town, BUT there will still be trivia! We have another host filling in my spot and I definitely believe they will do a great job. I will be returning the following week for more trivia, though, so don't fret! The staff is always friendly and the beer is always fresh, do yourself a favor and make a trip to False Idol!
