It was a very cold night, so I was expecting very few teams. Boy was I surprised when we had 10 teams and over 30 players! We had some regulars like I'll Try Not To Yell @ Anyone and The Flame and the Void, as well as some challengers like Love Our Fern and Beers 4 Bob and Betty. This week at False Idol I was able to try their Summer Body Ready cinnamon and maple barrel aged stout, which was truly delicious. The best part of coming out for trivia is that if your team gets 1st place for the round you get FREE tasters of beer for your team. Win the game and you get a $50 gift card! Tell me there's a good reason NOT to come out!
Game 1
The game was neck and neck all night, mostly between I'll Try Not To Yell @ Anyone and Javelinas. One team, The Karens showed some early spunk but burned out quick. We had ties for 1st place for 3 separate rounds, and at least once I'll Try Not To Yell @ Anyone was knocked out of the top three. In the end, though, they ended up winning the whole game with a 5 point lead, mostly gained from the Theme Rounds (Rounds 2 and 5) and the bonus Kitchen Timer round at the end of the game. Although we had some very smart people in The Wolf Den this week there was still a question that stumped everyone in the room:
