This week in The Wolf Den the place was absolutely packed with trivia lovers! We had 13 teams and 50 players! It's the biggest turnout I've had since taking over doing trivia for Pub Guys at False Idol Brewing! When I saw some of the regulars show up, like IPA Lot, Bronze Medalers, and You Wouldn't Get The Reference, I knew tonight was a going to be a showdown. We did have some new faces that hung in there with the big dawgs, most notably Sonic Max and Body By Cheez-Its. The final winner ended up being Bronze Medalers with only a 3 point lead! This week I had the pleasure of trying False Idol's amazing double IPA, 2 Line & Die In LA, and one of my favorites, Stario Bros., their fermented pilsner.

Game 1

With such a large turnout there were several ties through all six rounds. In order to see who would get some free tasters for their table we did a few quick games of Rock, Paper, Scissors. Rounds 2 and 5 were Themed rounds, in which there is a common theme between the questions and answer. If you guess the theme you get an extra bonus point! When you consider that the winner of the game, Bronze Medalers, won by three points, you can see why the Theme rounds can mean a win or a loss! At the end of the game all teams also have a chance to win 8-10 points during the Kitchen Timer Bonus round as well.  What was one of the questions that stumped everyone?

We had some teams say Curacao, however we were looking for the drink that gets its name from the Dutch phrase meaning "burnt orange". Curacao was a liquor that was developed on the Dutch island of Curacao, but it was not the correct answer. The right answer was:
