This week at False Idol Brewing we had around 60 players and 17 teams having a blast with some FREE trivia with Pubguys! There were big teams, small teams, new teams, and returning teams, all joined together in The Wolf Den grabbing some fresh beers and a chance to win a $50 gift card. Daddy B's food truck was also there banging out some great food to go along with the awesome beer selection. This week was especially tricky, since one team beat everyone out by ONE point at the very end! It's always a fun time so let's recap what happened:
Game Summary
The theme round for one of the two theme rounds this week was "All good things come in twos", meaning that all the questions and answers from that round had something to do with the number two. We also had several returning teams with Fire on Mountain, Bronze Medalers, and Agree 2 Disagree (who changes their name every week) coming out for some FREE trivia fun. They were also joined by Knotty Pines, Dream Killers, Smells Like Fritos, and Nailed It, all of which I believe were out for the first time. A few weeks ago we had a team called GMA's Birthday come out and win, and this week, under Lumber Jokes, they won again! They were the only team to get one three point question right in Round 5, and that ultimately put them in the lead at the end of the game. Here's one question, out of quite a few this week, that stumped everyone:
This question was during the twos themed round (coincidentally during Round 2), since it referenced two authors. We had several teams guess The Tempest, Midsummer's Night Dream, and Romeo & Juliet, but they were all wrong. The correct answer was:
The Two Noble Kinsmen
Grab some friends and come out next week for more FREE trivia at False Idol Brewing with Pubguys! Not only could you win a $50 gift card, but each team that gets 1st place for their round also gets a set of beer tasters as well! That's a cool way to try a beer you were on the fence about, or even to try one your buddy recommended. This week I was able to try their Cut the Red Tape Imperial Hazy IPA, and I recommend it to anyone who goes out in the next week or two. They're always rotating their beers in and out weekly, so make sure you come out. Until next time!
