When was the last time you watched the classic 1971 "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory"? If pressed, could you give me the first and last names of all five golden ticket holders?

Well I'm happy to report, dear reader, that Nic and the Cages can do so with ease (and impressive speed!) — it's how they nabbed their easy Round 2 win last night. This followed Ace & Gary's single-point Round 1 triumph. (I'm sad to say that I missed the Ambiguously Gay Duo reference until just now, however.)

What else happened last night? Well, we met newcomers Daddy Hates Us, who posted a solid Round 3 win. Back to the Duo for a Round 4 pick-up. Then, we saw the Sidecars narrowly best The Seawards (another sublime reference, Google it) to take Round 5. And I had the group finish the lyrics of my favorite Reba McEntire tune (which, by the way, is "Fancy," arguably the best cover known to man.)

Finally, the Duo returned to pick up Round 6 handedly. All in all, eight teams met last night to duke it out for free drinks and bragging rights.

What's that I see? Next Thursday's forecasted high is 68°? Perhaps a return to the patio is in the cards. I hope you join us.
