...A nice, brisk evening on the patio for some awesome PubGuys Trivia at Hayters Bar and Lounge. We had our regulars of Balls and Dolls, Texcub and Modelo Citizen. They were playing against AA Meeting, Kristen’s Kitty and Couple of Hayters.
After a crazy first 4 rounds, we had TexCub in the lead by 8 points over 3 teams tied for 2nd at 15 points. We had Balls and Dolls, Modelo Citizen and AA Meeting all fighting for 2nd place tonight. Round 5 we saw AA Meeting take a leap getting 7 points in round 5 while their competitors only got 4. Could they keep up the momentum and overtake TexCub? Could Ballas and Dolls find a way to come back and make up for a moderate round 4? Could AA Meeting find their way out of the sauce and come back? Kristen’s Kitty and Couple of Hayters had a good first couple of rounds but slowly slid out of the competition. However, they were still having fun with silly answers and giving the host a hard time.
Round 6 we had everything from the Monster Mash to Amityville Horror to see whose scores would scream I WIN or whose scores would be exorcised and find their way out of the game.
With 2 teams being on the opposite end of the spectrum, we saw Balls and Dolls get 8 amazing points while TexCub faltered and only received 1 single point. Did they have a big enough lead to keep first? Would we see a last round upset? How about AA Meeting and Modelo Citizen, where would they land?
With amazing luck, TexCub had just enough points to hold off Balls and Dolls by 1 point, taking first place. Congrats to our winners and all the teams that came out to enjoy a fun evening of PubGuys Trivia!
A huge shoutout to the Hayters team: Michael, Allison, and Kennedy. You all make my job so much easier by providing hot food and awesome drinks for all my trivia heads.
I look forward to seeing you all next Thursday from 8pm – 10pm at Hayters Bar and Lounge. It is always a fun time!
