There are reliable events that you can count on in life: Old Faithful, the sun rising each morning, and every time Dan hosts at Hayters, it rains. Oh well, we had a great night playing trivia while watching March Madness (how about Oakland beating Kentucky?!). We had seven teams that played at least one round and three who were there for the long haul - Inappropriately Confident, Perfect Bracket, and the Elementals. PB came out of the gate strong and won round 1. Then IC settled in and won four of the next five rounds. The exception was a tiebreaker with the Elementals in round 5. The question: When was the last time the state of Texas experienced a total eclipse? IC had 2019 and E had 2011. the correct answer was 1878.

IC won the overall score by eight points. We need to get a few more teams - IC is capitalizing on these good fishing waters. As usual, the drinks were flowing and the bbq from Hurtados was providing the aroma. I hope to see you the next time I sub for Katie. It will definitely rain.
