A nice, warm Thursday evening at Hayters Bar and Lounge. With the sun setting the temperature cooled and we had a nice breeze for some PubGuys trivia on the patio. Several teams still stayed inside but we had a good showing outside too.
We had some of our regulars make an appearance tonight: Thongs and Dongs, Hurtards and Couple of Hayters were out competing on a win. We had TexCub, Beer, LA, Dos Millers and others join us this evening as well.
Thongs and Dongs and TexCub took off with a bang. With only 2 points separating them going into round 4, this was going to be a close game. Thought Summer Girl and Modelo Citizen had a shaky start but started the comeback going into round 4. The Unwanted, LA and Dos Millers were having a rough night but stayed vigilant and enjoyed the night. With a 5-point lead going into the final round, TexCub seemed sure on 1st. However, Thongs and Dongs were not going down without a fight! Modelo Citizen were trying to keep Beer Pressure, LA and Thought Summer Girl from overtaking them for 3rd. Let’s get back to our first-place team(s)…as TexCub took a fall and did their best to give up the game by only taking 3 points in the final round. Thongs and Dongs had an amazing round 6 and caught up to the leaders! At the end of the round, we had a tie! Our tie breaker question was “In the Disney movie Sleeping Beauty, how many speaking lines did Princess Aurora Have?” The answer was stunning as one team went 24 and another went with 210. The correct answer – 18.
