Thursday night at Keyworth Brewing Co. was another absolute blockbuster as PubGuys Trivia packed the brewery with sharp minds, loud laughs, and fierce competition. The crowd was incredible from the first question to the final scorecard, with teams battling through two intense games featuring three rounds each and random bonus questions that kept everyone guessing. Every table came ready to play, and with multiple lead changes throughout the night, nobody could relax for a second.

Game 1 Recap
Game 1 kicked off with a fast start from Blue Tailed Hawks, who came out firing with 7 points in Round 1 to grab the early lead. Killer Rabbits, Beer Pressure, Whiplash, and Nic & the Cages all stayed close behind with strong opening rounds that immediately turned the leaderboard into a traffic jam.

Then Round 2 completely reshaped the standings.

Killer Rabbits and Pivot each exploded for massive 9-point rounds, launching themselves into first-place contention. Blue Tailed Hawks stayed steady with another 7 points, but suddenly the pressure was mounting from every direction. Whiplash and 4 Sheets to the Wind also made big moves with strong middle rounds, keeping the top of the board incredibly tight heading into the final stretch.

At the end of Round 2, Killer Rabbits had seized control with 14 points plus bonus scoring, while Pivot sat right behind them. But the final round still had plenty of drama left.

Killer Rabbits stayed composed and added 6 more points in Round 3 plus a bonus point to finish with 21 and lock down the Game 1 victory. Meanwhile, Mom’s Here for the Beer surged late with a huge 8-point final round to pull even with Pivot at 18.

That meant a tie-breaker for second place.

One player from each tied team stepped forward. Ten seconds on the clock. The packed brewery fell silent as answers were scribbled down and handed in under pressure. After the reveal, Pivot edged out Mom’s Here for the Beer to officially claim second place.

An incredible comeback effort by Mom’s Here for the Beer, but Pivot survived the pressure when it mattered most.

Game 2 Recap
Game 2 saw Killer Rabbits come out with momentum and confidence after their opening win. They jumped out early with 7 points in Round 1, while Did You Know? We Don’t Know, Whiplash, Something Aleatory, and The Mavericks all kept things competitive with solid starts.

After Round 2, Killer Rabbits continued their steady domination with another 6-point round, sitting at 13 overall and holding the lead heading into the final round. Did You Know? We Don’t Know remained within striking distance after matching the 6-point second round, while Beer Pressure quietly climbed the standings with another strong performance.

Round 3 brought one final push from the challengers. Did You Know? We Don’t Know closed with 6 points, making things tense at the top, but Killer Rabbits answered with another solid 5-point finish to secure their second victory of the night with 18 total points. Whiplash and Beer Pressure each finished tied for third at 15 after consistent performances across all three rounds.
