Last night at Keyworth Brewing Co., the house was packed and buzzing with energy as trivia lovers from all over gathered for an epic night of PubGuys Trivia. The competition was fierce, the crowd was incredible, and the fun was absolutely contagious. With two games, three rounds each, plus bonus questions to keep brains sharp, this was one unforgettable Thursday trivia showdown!
Game 1 kicked off with teams eager to claim early bragging rights. The opening round saw Confident but Clueless take a quick lead with 5 points, closely followed by Starsan and C&C inching their way up the scoreboard. But the real excitement began in Round 2, where And in Second surged ahead with a strong 6 points, matching Sew not Sew and Halves of Hale in a tight race.
Round 3 was the game-changer. Summer Session absolutely crushed it, racking up 11 points and vaulting themselves into a tie for first place with And in Second, both finishing with 14 points. Behind them, Confident but Clueless and Sew not Sew battled for third with 12 points apiece, while Starsan stayed close with 11.
No bonus points were claimed in Game 1, making the final tally a pure reflection of each team’s round performances. The lead changed multiple times, with Summer Session pulling off an impressive late-round surge to share the top spot. The crowd cheered as these teams showcased their trivia chops, setting the stage for even more drama in Game 2.
Game 2 brought even more intensity, with teams determined to outdo their first game performances. Right from Round 1, three teams—Did you know? We Don't Know, Colonel Honey Mustard, and Starsan—exploded out of the gate, each scoring a stellar 7, 7, and 5 points respectively.
Round 2 was pivotal. Did you know? We Don't Know and Starsan kept their momentum strong, while Beer is Life launched from mid-pack with a whopping 9 points, shaking up the standings. The third round pushed the limits of everyone’s trivia knowledge, but Colonel Honey Mustard came back with a powerful 7 points to tie at the top.
When the scores were tallied, an electrifying three-way tie emerged for first place: Did you know? We Don't Know, Colonel Honey Mustard, and Starsan all finished with 18 points. Just behind them, Beer is Life put in a valiant effort with 17 points, narrowly missing the top spot but keeping the competition razor-sharp until the last question.
Bonus questions didn’t factor in for Game 2 either, keeping the suspense focused on the main rounds. The lead swapped hands several times throughout, and the energy in the room was palpable as each team battled for supremacy.
The crowd at Keyworth Brewing Co. was fantastic — packed to the brim with passionate trivia fans, good friends, and first-timers alike.
