The atmosphere at Keyworth Brewing Co. on May 2nd was electric, as Star Wars aficionados and trivia enthusiasts alike gathered for a themed trivia night hosted by none other than The Angry Irishman himself. The air buzzed with anticipation as teams prepared to test their knowledge of the iconic sci-fi saga.
As the night kicked off, it quickly became evident that competition would be fierce. With six rounds of intense trivia ahead, teams like Killer Rabbit and TK421 emerged as early frontrunners, showcasing their prowess with an impressive 18 points apiece after the initial three rounds. However, the likes of Oewn & Beru's BBQ, Oh Goodness, and Hand Solo were hot on their heels, poised to make a comeback in the subsequent rounds.
The tension continued to mount as rounds four and five unfolded, with TK421 managing to snatch a narrow lead over Killer Rabbit by a single point. The competition remained tight, with Hand Solo strategically positioning themselves just three points behind the frontrunners, ready to pounce on any opportunity to seize the top spot. Meanwhile, Oh Goodness and Oewn & Beru's BBQ refused to be discounted, employing their Jedi-like knowledge in a bid to outwit the competition.
With only one round remaining, TK421 and Killer Rabbit found themselves locked in a thrilling tie for first place, each determined to emerge victorious. Despite valiant efforts from Hand Solo and Oh Goodness to disrupt the status quo, the top two spots remained elusive. Meanwhile, Oewn & Beru's BBQ and Nagel's Bagels rounded out the top six teams, each displaying an impressive grasp of Star Wars lore.
As tension reached its peak, the tiebreaker round commenced, pitting representatives from TK421 and Killer Rabbit against each other in a battle of wits. The Angry Irishman posed a series of challenging questions, testing the limits of their knowledge. Ultimately, it was TK421 who emerged triumphant, swiftly providing the correct answer to a particularly tricky query, securing their team's victory in a hard-fought contest.
