It was my first night as a PubGuys Trivia host at Chuggin Monk in North Arlington, taking over for their previous long-time host, Sal! It was a great time with 15 players and 7 teams, with drink specials going on throughout the night. With the help of the team Piney Teenus I was able to keep the crowd involved, and we all had a great time! With a prize of a $25 (1st place) or $10 (2nd place) on the line, here's what happened:
Game Summary
This was a single, 6 round with 5 questions each, game with some local employees that came together splitting up into teams of 3. Among them was SR Ohio (which I found out stands for Skibbidy Rizz), J&R, Stud Muffins, Burn Victims, and Dude Abides. Throughout the game Burn Victims and Dude Abides (a single man team) went back and forth for 1st place on each round, eventually ending up with a Tiebreaker for 1st place. That Tiebreaker question was:
Coming out on top was Dude Abides, winning himself a $25 gift card to Chuggin Monk for the next time he came out. Burn Victims also left with a little something, copping a $10 gift card for their team. The correct answer was:
And with that we wrap up my first week at Chuggin Monk with PubGuys Trivia! The staff was friendly and helpful, and the patrons were also great folks as well! Hopefully we can get more of our local Arlington PubGuys folks coming out to join real soon. Until next time!
